Lil Fernie says "Thanks For Peeking In!"

Meet the makings of "Lil Fernie"  I don't think she is to trashy do you??  She is a little different in what I usually post as only her head and arms are sculpted.  I am really wanting to incorporate many elements in my pieces.  She is 30" tall.

I am a collector of all and have many boxes of recyclables sitting in my studio work area.  I am always thinking what can I use this for and ohhhh that would make a great surface. I  believe in the past I have said "If it doesn't breathe I will sculpt on it or find some purpose  for it.  Hubby now even  guards his garage as one day I went running with a old shovel.  It did turn into a cute Santa lol.
Top left pic is a collection of bottle caps I have been saving and I used them to make Lil  Fernies 'Bottle Cap" glasses.  I also like making hang tags and necklaces out them them  by inserting a pic and pouring resin.  Oh maybe a how to blog on that.  Middle pic is a old  pair of baby shoes and hey why not saves sculpting them right!!  and the last pic  ohhhhhhhh I get so excited when I get a fresh load of old weathered barn lumber.  I  always feel like I hit the lotto!  I am not a hard lady to please no diamonds and jewels for  this girl send in the crafts and recyclables and I am a happy camper.
Dresses Dresses making more cute dresses!  Sunflowers are my favorite flower and they bring me much joy and happiness so I picked the print with the sunflowers for "Little Fernies" dress.
Two of my beautiful sunflowers this year!

OK OK I just had to!!!  You know how they say a artist has a tendency to make pieces that look like them??  I was looking at "Lil Fernie" and thought oh my long wavy/curly hair (Few Gray's) and Bottle cap glasses she's my twin only her hair is black and her eyes are green so we did a selfie together.  Don't judge, this is me all natural no make-up and yes in my Mrs. Roper house coat.  I said don't judge it is all about comfort for this girl.  It's funny because as soon as my hubby saw her he said "she looks like you" I burst out laughing and showed him our selfie.

Fernie Getting her wig on and dress fitting time!  Her head was constructed using a warty gourd I grew on the farm here @ OldeMoonlane.  She kinda has a snide little look on her face with the slightly twisted up nostril.

Hair is done and complete with her matching bandanna.  Aged Cheesecloth kerchief and her primitive black kittie broach.

Fernie has her wooden crow friend by her side at all times.  She is holding her crow purse and pumpkin bucket.  Look at the sparkles on her shoes and she even has cute lil pumpkin bling on her laces.  The socks are grunged aged socks.  Yes she is a little pigeon toed but isn't she a cutie.
