Charcoal's Magical Broomsticks!  and check out How I used DecoArt DecoPaige.

A year or so ago, I received a special package in the mail.  It was from my good Friend Charlotte and her black lab Charcoal.  Charcoal holds a special place in my heart, as I am his Aunt.  It's a long story but I like knowing I played a small part in Charcoal coming to live with my friend Charlotte.

In this package was a little stick that Charcoal had collected and this was the note that accompanied the stick. Charcoal is a master stick collector, and at one point, he was trying to sell his sticks on FB.  I was very honored to receive a original Charcoal stick.

I saved this stick for almost 2 years as I knew I had to create something special with it for my friend.  I know I still treasure a tiny feather my Moses carried everywhere when he was a puppy, as it was his lucky feather.  I knew the stick would be special as well.    Only a dog lover can understand!!

To this day whenever we send each other a package, we include doggie treats of course.  I always tell my pups it's from Auntie Charlotte!
Actual note from Charcoal in pic below!

I had so many ideas to create with this little stick but decided on something fun and whimsical, as  that's what I like creating!  I began making a few tiny brooms using cross stitch canvas, needle thread, a few skews , and yes quikwood.

I finally decided on a theme for the project and here is the sign  "Charcoal's Magical Broomsticks".  Charlotte's birthday is this month , so I also decided to make it October related.  I used Decou-Page from DecoArt to adhere the fun scrapbook paper I got at hobby lobby.  I also printed out the wording and used the Decou-Page to adhere that as well.  If your not good at handwriting, this is an excellent way to get the lettering you want without worrying about writing.  I thought why stop there and continued the same process for the entire house.  I guess I should have taken pics of the side view as the walls have little skelies.

To add to the fun, I made Charcoal into a whimsy ghost pup collecting magical broom sticks!

In case you didn't know my friend also loves cows, so I had to include one of those as well.  So, meet "Charlotte" hahaha!  No I'm not calling my friend a cow but I did name her after her.  Oh, wait there's a little birdie in there.
Note-  See that big stick Charcoal is holding, that is the actual stick I received from Charcoal.

This project is very sparkly as I added glitter spray everywhere and I also added glass glitter on the spider web.  Pics don't really show how shimmery it all is.
Meet "Charcoal's Magical Broomsticks"!
I'll end here saying, I may be 52 but , I am always a kid at heart and I always believe in a little magic do you????

Go spread some magic today!
Blessings!
